It's not classy.

I'm watching this documentary on TV right now about toddler beauty pagents where they follow around 2 competing 3 year olds, Brooke and Asia. It's really rather creepy actually. They just showed the talent show where they both paraded around the stage dressed like hookers, shaking their booties, ripping off tear-away layers of clothes while singing old stage standards. The kids themselves seem rather oblivious to the whole thing - they both like singing, and they only complained about having to put on mascara and they hate the hair spray. They look like porn stars.

Apparently Asia's weakest point is Western Wear and that's Brooke's strongpoint. Asia goes out onstage wearing this glittery Liberace-esque outfit with diamond shapes cut out on the sleeves and pants so her skin shows through. Brooke's mother commented on how "it's not classy" to wear clothes with cutouts on stage because it makes the child "look like a stripper". Asia's mother was disappointed with how Western Wear went, and her sister recommended showing off more of her stomach.

Oh my god. What's wrong with these people??? Child beauty pagents have got to be the scariest thing a parent can throw their kid into. In this particular pagent they are competing for a car. They're 3 years old!!! What are they going to do with a Ford Explorer??? Good grief!
