29 January 2004

Americans are fickle.

Well, now that the NH primary is over, no one has to give a crap about NH for another 4 years. But boy it sure is nice when we have our day in the sun. For the whole month of January all the media flocks to NH. Candidates call you up and invite you to hear them speak at the local coffee shop next Tuesday night. They come to your house. They hang out at your grocery store. The local Italian place you go to in Salem, NH is on the news. Everyone loves NH. Everyone talks about our humble little state non-stop and convinces the country that we are infact important.

And then we all go vote. And the very next day, we are dropped faster than yesterday's media darling du jour and it's back to "New Hampshire? What state's that in?".
