Just a quick update
12 January 2005
I know I've been horrible about updating my blog lately, so here's a quick summary of what I've been up to since the election:
Thanksgiving
I took Thanksgiving week off because my friend Alexia was going to come visit, but by the time my boss approved my vacation time she didn't have adequate notice to take off. But I took the time anyway with grand visions of cleaning my apartment and doing my Christmas shopping. No such luck. I wound up sleeping all day and staying up all night playing video games. Yay!
I wasn't able to go visit my family for Thanksgiving because I had to stay home and take care of Beaker. So sad. And no one invited me to their house for Thanksgiving. Perhaps this sad sad story will inspire you to make a donation to the Beaker Fund - link is at the bottom of the page.
I've been sentenced to 8 weeks of physical therapy
I went to an event on Halloween where I was standing up for about 8 hours. In the weeks that followed, several times a week I would wake up screaming from this excruciatingly pain in my left knee. My doctor sentenced me to 8 weeks of physical therapy; turns out I have something called "patellofemoral syndrome" which is a fancy way of saying "my kneecap doesn't slide in its slot and it hurts."
Within the first couple of weeks of PT I started sleeping through the night for the first time in about 6 weeks. Yay PT!
NYC and Long Island for the holidays
Sweet cute Bill and I went to Long Island to visit Mommy for Christmas. Then on my birthday - 12/27 (yay!) - we went to NYC and had dinner at Tao where they have a 35' tall Buddha. Really. We hung out in NYC for a few days with Bats - read all about it on his blog. Then on 12/30 we headed back to L.I. to see the Big Duck and spend New Year's with Mommy. New Year's day we headed home. A good trip in all. Oh and Mommy's new cat is sooooooooooo nice.
At some point I will write up the trip and post it to my travels section.
Ummm...
Um, I guess that's it. It seems like I've been so busy but it doesn't boil down to much on a blog. Wow.
Comments:
Why in the world do you put out on the internet every single facet and thing in your life?! I don't think it's advisable for safety reasons. . .seriously.
